Guidelines for Abstract Submission

Dear presenters, the last date for abstract PPT submission for CUTICON 2025 has been 18th November 2025.

  1. Prior registration for the conference is mandatory, and abstracts should be submitted before the specified date on the official CUTICON 2025 website.
  2. Abstracts are to be submitted under the following categories: Award Paper, Free Paper, E-Poster, Speaking Images.
  3. Award Papers are open only for postgraduate residents and young dermatologists under 35 years of age (age proof is mandatory).
  4. The presenters should be PLMs/LMs of IADVL.
  5. Only original research studies or case series (more than 6 cases) will be considered for Award Paper presentation.
  6. Free Papers and E-Posters are open to all delegates.
  7. Single case reports will be considered as E-Posters.
  8. The presenting author can submit a maximum of 2 abstracts for consideration (maximum 1 for Award Paper).
  9. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to change the category of the Award/Free Papers to E-Poster.
  10. The decision of abstract evaluation will be communicated to the presenting author via email.
  11. All residents must submit a letter from the Head of the Department certifying the authenticity of the original research and the category of paper submission.
  12. The maximum word limit for abstracts is 250 words.
  13. For fields not applicable to your abstract, please enter "0 / Not Applicable".

Abstract Preparation Guidelines

  1. Categories: Abstracts can be submitted in three categories - Award paper, Free paper, E-poster.
  2. Award Papers:
    1. Submission can be done under 2 categories - Case report and Study
    2. The abstract (not more than 250 words) should be submitted with the approval of the head of the department
    3. Time allotted: 6 minutes for Case report, 7 minutes for Research study
  3. Free Papers:
    1. Can be based on rare case reports, case series or short original research works
    2. Innovations and original works would be given more weightage
    3. Abstract should not exceed 250 words
    4. Time allotted: 7 minutes for presentation
    5. Abstracts not included in free paper category may be considered for E-poster
  4. E-Posters:
    1. One person can submit only one E-poster (but can be co-author of multiple)
    2. Must be original works - either case reports or research studies
  5. Formatting Requirements:
    1. All abstracts must be in English, Times New Roman font size 12 with double spacing
    2. For blinded review: No identifying features (names, hospitals, institutions) in title/text
    3. Title should use 'Sentence case', be brief and self-explanatory
    4. Avoid abbreviations in title
    5. Word limit: 250 words (excluding title, authors, affiliations)
  6. Structure:
    1. Original studies should include:
      • Background/Introduction, Aims and objectives
      • Materials and Methods, Results, Limitations and Conclusions
    2. Case reports/series should include:
      • Introduction
      • Case report/series
      • Discussion and Summary
  7. Originality: Must report on truly original research - not previously published or presented at CUTICONS/DERMACONS
  8. Content Restrictions:
    1. No keywords, graphs, figures, tables or references in abstract
    2. Conflict of interest statement is mandatory
    3. Use generic drug names (avoid commercial names)
    4. Limit use of abbreviations and acronyms
  9. Responsibility: Authors are responsible for:
    1. Proper language and factual accuracy
    2. Avoiding plagiarism
    3. Abstracts may be reproduced as submitted
  10. Submission Process:
    1. Non-adherence to guidelines may result in automatic rejection
    2. You will receive a communication acknowledgement upon successful upload
    3. Abstracts must be submitted through the platform after conference registration
    4. No submissions will be accepted through any other means
